Welcome to the Biorefinery Deployment Collaborative (BDC)

We are a network of public and private companies interested in influencing the course of the emerging bioeconomy in the United States.

With their roots in the North Central States, the Collaborative’s members are committed to shaping the policies that will prepare the region to realize its biorefinery potential.

We don’t need to start from scratch.  We have the resources.  We have a knowledge base.  What we need is to work together.

Our mission

Our mission is to build private and public institutional readiness to participate in the U.S. bioeconomy.  Our focus is on deployment.

Our near terms goals

To accelerate the deployment of technologies that produce biofuels from biomass.

To construct a prioritized, shared research and development program that targets key deployment hurdles and effectively leverages federal funds and entrepreneurial investment.

To develop a public policy agenda that fosters strategic partnerships and a networking approach to creating biorefineries.

To establish a sustainability plan for the Collaborative’s efforts.

And to Interact with appropriate state and federal agencies to integrate their goals into our programs.
